Far-fetched? Not according to the growing number of teenage female cricketers proving it works…

Watch Me Demonstrate 👇

Dear Frustrated Cricket Parent,

If you've ever wanted to watch your daughter bat with genuine confidence (contributing to her team instead of feeling like she's letting everyone down)...

While you get to enjoy cricket as quality family time instead of a source of stress... then this may be the most important message you ever read.

Here's what this is all about: My name is Ian Hainsworth, and until four years ago I was just a veterinarian who hadn't touched a cricket bat in 30 years - then my daughter decided she wanted to play cricket.

For 2 seasons, I sat at games watching young girls struggle at the crease — my own daughter included.

Some days she’d connect beautifully and you’d think she’d turned the corner… but the very next match she’d take a wild swipe and get out.

Or - maybe worse -  she’d just push at the ball, and it would gently roll away without giving her a single run. She was frustrated, and ready to give it all away.

Doesn’t it drive you nuts? One week they look like they “get it,” the next week they can’t buy a run.

And no matter how much you put into helping them practice — or how much money you spend on extra coaching — there’s still no guarantee they’ll even hit the ball well enough to get runs, let alone actually enjoy batting.

And if you look carefully - the girls often switch back to the “wrong grip” (when the coach isn't looking) because the “correct” one feels impossible to them.

It wasn’t for lack of trying either.

I watched all the girls being drilled with “tap and bat” techniques, and told to copy textbook batting that left them off-balance and uncomfortable.

And just like so many parents, I wondered if maybe batting was simply “not her thing.”

I asked myself…

How Many Thousand Times Do They Have To Do This Before It Finally Works?

Then the coach of my daughter’s team quit halfway through the season… and I stepped into the coaching role.

Suddenly, it wasn’t so easy. Every book, every YouTube video, every bit of advice I could find — they just repeated the same things I had already seen fail for the girls.

Even the older girls were struggling. Sure, they had adapted, but not without cost.

Similar to the boys, yes — but with important differences.

Here’s the truth, the cricket bat is heavy for girls with smaller arms and wrists.

Forcing their arms and hands into the so-called “correct” batting setup bent their bottom wrist backwards — an awkward, uncomfortable position.

But they did it anyway, because that’s what they were told… even though it wasn’t working.

Their coached position made it hard to even start the swing.

And when they did swing…it looked robotic.

No surprise there, because that’s exactly how we were treating them – like robots.

Moving with all the grace of Dorothy the Dinosaur trying to do the waltz.

And Then Something Happened That Changed Everything.

One windy and chilly Saturday morning, while they were supposed to be “warming up,” the opening batters were fooling around, dancing to music.

As their coach, I felt a little frustrated as they weren’t focusing on the task at hand (even though I love them having fun together)...

But just as I was about to tell them to focus, I noticed something…

Something that would change how I coached these girls forever...

Lily — who could barely hit the ball five metres in a game — was waving the bat like a gymnast’s ribbon…

She held the bat high, and moved it with  grace.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but looking back, she was naturally using a technique called “unweighting the bat.”

It’s something I’d been taught by my batting coaches years ago.

And here were my girls doing it automatically, without even thinking about it.

It was beautiful. And the best part? They loved it

They weren’t straining, they weren’t stiff. They were FREE!

For the next few weeks, I couldn’t stop thinking about what I saw.

So each night I’d get my daughter into the back yard to work on her swing.

I’d encourage her to hold the bat in a new way that was totally different to how she’d been taught...

And for the next few weeks we kept hitting balls together to perfect her new swing.

Almost instantly, I noticed a difference.

And that difference got bigger and bigger as the weeks passed.

There was a huge change in my daughter, but an even bigger change in me, as all the traditional coaching I’d received myself was being “rewritten” right in front of me.

But once we ditched all the “textbook” positions she’d been taught, she started making solid contact with the ball, again and again…

And the ball began to travel further than ever before.

When I started training the other girls on the team with this new swing, again, the difference was almost immediate…

Suddenly, the girls didn’t look robotic anymore.

They looked like they were whipping the bat through the ball.

✅ They started to “hit cleanly” more often — instead of a “lucky shot,” they could achieve consistent contact.

✅ The ball began to travel further than  before — sometimes 15–20 metres more — without them swinging any harder.

✅ Most importantly: they looked relaxed and confident at the crease. They looked happy with a cricket bat in their hand.

When I researched it later, I discovered this pattern of body movement  uses something called a Cascading Acceleration Effect.

I Discovered This Pattern of Body Movement Uses Something Called a "Cascading Acceleration Effect"

Think of this like kicking a football or throwing a ball.

The POWER starts in the big muscle groups of the hips and legs, then moves into the smaller muscles (like shoulder and arm) and finally the hands (or foot).

And that’s why we call it a CASCADING Acceleration effect, because the muscles work in a specific sequence to generate the power we’re looking for.

For example, if the hips aren’t being used properly, then the rest of the swing won’t work.

And that’s why we use the natural way that girls move when they run or dance as our foundation for their swing.

Instead of working against their anatomy, we work WITH it so they can generate the power they want.

The result is cleaner hits, faster bat speed and cricket balls leaving the bat faster - but with less effort.

I call it the “Willow Whip.”

And over the last three years, I’ve coached lots of girls.

When they start using the RIGHT fundamentals of batting AND  Willow Whip, the same thing happens every time: they look more relaxed, they hit the ball with more consistency, and they rediscover the joy of batting.

And here's the thing – This isn't theory

Every time I’ve coached a girl to use the Willow Whip, the changes come almost immediately...

Their contact with the ball improves.

The clumsy slices vanish, and they start middling the ball more often.

They look smoother,

The ball sound is different - sharper - off the bat,

They look more confident.

And most importantly, they feel it too.

Why?

Because instead of fighting against stiff un-natural technique, they're moving in the way their bodies naturally want to move.

This works the fastest when girls learn it early.

That’s when their natural rhythm is still strongest — before a well-meaning coach steps in and tells them to bat “properly” and shuts it all down with unnatural movement patterns (Yep, I was that coach once too).

I’ve seen it so many times I can't ignore it...

Girls who once looked robotic and frustrated suddenly look relaxed, free, and in control.

And the joy on their faces when they finally connect cleanly?

That’s what this is all about for me...

Seeing the smile when she walks off the pitch after finally making runs.

✅ In my experience, on average, girls go from missing 7 out of 10 balls to connecting cleanly 8 out of 10 times — without trying harder.

✅ The clumsy slices disappear, replaced by smooth, confident contact.

✅ Shots start travelling 10 - 20 metres further — not from strength, but from smarter sequencing.

✅ The bat sounds sharper off the bat — and everyone notices.

You see, what I stumbled onto had almost nothing to do with the girls “trying harder”…

...and everything to do with applying natural movements into how they swing a cricket bat.

It’s simple. It’s natural. And it unlocks the power and timing girls already have in their bodies.

Instead of forcing wrists backwards and teaching them to move like boys, the Willow Whip builds on the way girls actually move best — with fluid rhythm, balance, and grace.

The result? A whip-like acceleration that makes the ball ping off the bat, while keeping their swing smooth, consistent and repeatable.

With this approach, the bat no longer looks or feels like an alien. It becomes an extension of them.

And when that happens, everything changes:

The Willow Whip isn’t just a “tip” or a quick trick. It’s an integral part of  THE  foundation for female batting.

Until now, the only way to learn the Willow Whip was in my live coaching sessions here in Perth.

But now, for the first time, I've taken everything I've discovered in the last three years and built it into a complete program that girls — and their parents — can follow step by step.

Introducing – Bat Like a Girl

The first batting program designed specifically for female cricketers.

For the first time ever, girls everywhere can learn the exact same method that’s helped my players find their timing, add almost effortless power, and fall back in love with batting again.

This isn't a collection of random tips. It's a complete system that builds one skill on top of another:

What Your Daughter will Discover ...

Video 1: Why Batters Mis-Hit the Ball - and the 1 secret that traditional coaching never talks about” (15 minutes)**

Your daughter isn't struggling because she lacks talent — she's struggling because she's being taught to bat like a boy

This eye-opening video reveals the three hidden reasons girls mis-hit, and sets the stage for everything that follows.

Video 2: Balance & Bat Setup — The Foundation (12 minutes)

Comfort creates confidence. Here your daughter learns the exact stance and grip that feels natural from day one — no more switching back to the "wrong" grip when the coach isn't looking.

Video 3: Bat Path & Speed — Power Without Force (12 minutes)

This is where the Willow Whip comes alive. She'll discover how to let gravity do the work, create natural bat speed, and make clean contact 8 times out of 10 — all without swinging harder.

Video 4: Making It Permanent — Practice That Grows (10 minutes)

The difference between girls who improve and girls who plateau. This shows exactly how to practice so the skills stick and grow stronger as bowling gets better.

Bonus Module: Supporting Your Teenage Female Cricketer (20 minutes)

For parents only - How to be her biggest supporter without accidentally sabotaging her progress. What to say, what not to say, and how girls learn differently from boys.

Each video builds on the previous one — no random tips.

The secret of unweighting the bat so it feels light, not heavy.

Works with her natural movement patterns, not against them.

Includes the parent support system most programs ignore.

Why short, fun sessions grow confidence — and long sessions crush it.

The overlooked reason bat speed often stalls — and how to unlock it with one easy shift.

Why even state-level players are beginning to stumble onto these same fundamentals — proof it’s the future of female batting.

The hidden connection between balance and power — when one clicks, the other follows.

How “fun first” actually accelerates learning — because enjoyment builds repetition without resistance.

Why reassurance like “don’t worry” feels condescending — and what to say instead.

With Bat Like a Girl, your daughter gets a complete system that grows with her as she improves — and you get the tools to support her journey without the frustration

So, What's This Going To Cost?

Let’s be honest: if you’ve already paid for private coaching, new gear, and club fees, you know how fast cricket costs add up.

A single one-on-one lesson with a private coach can run you anywhere between $50–$110 an hour… and you’d need quite a few of those to see results (if you even get results at all).

That’s easily $500–$2,000 invested — with no guarantee your daughter will actually enjoy the process.

And that’s the real cost, isn’t it? It’s not just the money. It’s watching her struggle.

It’s watching her confidence and enjoyment draining away.

It’s the family tension when you try to help.

That’s why I created Bat Like a Girl — to give families like yours a way out of that spiral, at a price any parent can say “yes” to.

Right now, you can get the complete program — all four training videos, plus the bonus parent module — for just $27.

That’s less than the cost of a single new cricket glove. Less than you’d spend on takeaway dinner after a match.

And for that small investment, your daughter can finally experience batting in a way that feels natural, powerful, and fun.

And here’s the best part: you don’t risk a cent.

Watch the full program today, and get your daughter to practice in the backyard and at training.

Take your time and practice each and every step.

And if you don’t see her making better contact with the ball, swinging with more confidence, and starting to enjoy batting again… just email me within 60 days, and I’ll give you every cent back.

No questions asked. No hard feelings.

That’s how confident I am that this works.

So really, you have nothing to lose — and your daughter has everything to gain.

But don't just take my word for it...

Here's what parents and players themselves have said after using this approach:

I couldn't stay in for long. I couldn't face spinners. Now batting feels easier. I feel more comfortable out there in the middle by myself. I feel confident that I can do it."

Millie, 15

Our daughter had reached a plateau. Her confidence grew immediately and her skills followed later. Trust the process — Ian has a lot to offer, and both parents and daughters will recognise this."

Kelsie, Millie's mum

"After the first session, I immediately saw the vision and could feel the potential of this new technique. All my coaches used to say I looked like a baseballer — now I couldn't care less. I've proven to myself that I can hit boundaries and score runs."

Ada, State Squad Player

Sometimes 'different' is exactly what is needed. It was for our daughter. We'd already spent thousands on coaching, and from the first session her confidence was boosted."

Vanessa, Ada's mum

Within 2 weeks I could see the changes in my daughter's batting. At first I thought it would confuse her — but it helped her a lot. Ian actually listened to her and guided her through what she was feeling."

Anil, dad who coached Siddhi himself first

Batting feels less hard now. I realised I was hitting the ball better after the first 2-3 lessons. It's not about hitting big every ball — it's about scoring runs consistently and enjoying it."

Siddhi, 15

Here's the important part:

All these girls improved with just one session a week, sometimes less.

Your daughter gets daily access to the exact same system — videos she can replay anytime, at home or before training.

If Millie, Ada, and Siddhi could see results in 2-3 weeks with occasional coaching sessions, imagine what happens when your daughter has this system available 24/7.

🚀 Millie wasn’t staying in. Now she’s confident facing spinners.

🚀 Ada used to be told she “looked like a baseballer.” Now she’s hitting boundaries and representing WA.

🚀 Siddhi thought she’d be confused — but within weeks, she was scoring runs and enjoying batting again.

Parents saw confidence shift first, then the skills followed — the exact reverse of what most coaching delivers.

Families who had spent thousands on coaching saw more progress in weeks than years.

Listen: most parents will keep doing the same old thing and getting the same old results...

Paying for more lessons...

Wasting endless hours in the backyard...

And watching their daughter’s confidence slowly drain away.

That's the way cricket coaching has always worked - until now.

But right now, you can skip all that.

For less than the cost of a single private session — just $27 — you can give your daughter the exact system that’s helped other girls go from frustration and tears to confidence and runs.

And remember, you risk nothing…

Try the complete program for a full 60 days…

If you don’t see her making cleaner contact, hitting the ball further, and starting to enjoy batting again, email me and I’ll refund every cent. No questions asked.

Right now, you have a choice:

Keep watching her struggle, hoping it “clicks” someday…

Or give her the chance to fall in love with batting again — starting today.

Click the button below and get instant access to Bat Like a Girl.

Your daughter deserves this chance to fall in love with batting...

And so do you.

Sincerely,

Ian Hainsworth

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any special equipment?

No — just your bat, a ball, and a bit of space.
We use practical drills you can do at home, in the nets, or even in front of a mirror.

You’ll also get reflection prompts and “mini tasks” you can bring straight to your next training session.

❓What makes this different from other online cricket coaching?

Most online cricket courses are designed around male biomechanics and focus on “correct technique.”

Bat Like a Girl is the first course built specifically for female players — blending neuroscience, biomechanics, and mindset to help girls generate power, flow, and confidence that fits their bodies.

❓Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. The course scales easily.

You’ll get as much out of it as your current level allows — beginners gain body awareness and coordination; experienced players unlock smoother timing and consistency.

My daughter already has good technique. Will she still benefit?

Yes — in fact, this course helps good players become great by showing them how to trust their body and brain more fully.

It’s about refining what’s already there, not replacing it.

What if my daughter isn’t confident right now?

Perfect. That’s exactly who this course was made for.

Confidence doesn’t come from pretending — it comes from understanding.

This program shows players how to use self-awareness, language, and balance to rebuild confidence one ball at a time.

❓What if my daughter already has a private coach?

That’s perfect.
This course doesn’t replace her coach — it amplifies what she learns in training by helping her body and brain understand the “why” behind it.
